Life Lately…

(Sorry for the iPhone quality photo, I still think it’s a cute photo)

So lately life has been pretty good. I’ve been getting accustomed to what it’s like to be happy again and not feel some longing for something that I am unsure of. I recently started school again after Christmas holidays and some travelling with my sister in Paris and London. It was so amazing to go away with my sister again and just a complete joy of a time! I’ve been trying to do more things just for me. Things like go shopping for something that I really want just to make myself feel happy. Or go for a coffee and just sit in the coffee shop while writing in my journal. These sorts of thing are the ones that just brighten up life a little bit more. I feel like previously I’ve just been running to catch up with the world and it is nice to just stop and focus on enjoying the moment. I’m still trying to slow down, but I’m getting there.

It’s been really difficult to wake up early recently but hopefully I can start getting energy back and getting out of bed earlier. I have so much work for classes this term. It feels like it’s never ending, especially concerning the fact that I had three essays to write over the holidays as well. I guess this is what the thick of university is like though.

2016 is the year that I am starting fresh. I’m going to be happy and enjoy life again. I really feel like things are finally changing and I’m haven’t been this comfortable with myself in a long while. I’m still working on it, but I know that progress is being made.

I am very excited for what is coming up this year. I’m going to turn 20 so it truly feels like things are changing. I’m entering a brand new decade in my life. It’s kind of scary to think about, but more on that later.

Things are just changing all around me. It’s exciting and I’m becoming happier despite the fact that I have no clue where I’m headed.

Hi Again!

So, it has been ages since I have posted anything! I want to apologize, but I’m trying to stop doing that, so I will just say that there has been a lot going on in my life and sometimes you just need to take time out for yourself. I had all these major plans after exams to start blogging again and get back into things, but summer was just messy and tough. Some days were wonderful, but ultimately it led to some pretty shocking revelations about myself that I’m not sure whether to post online or not.

I am not going to promise to post weekly or regularly just yet because things are still tough, and I’m only taking things one day at a time.

I have recently found myself to be back in a decently good place, and I feel like I can take the time to actually sit down and write about things I love again and maybe even delve into what’s going on with me later on.

I hope that everybody is enjoying fall and building up the excitement for upcoming holidays! I’ve already started dreaming of Christmas vacation, this is one of my favourite times of the year!

Hopefully I can return to this space of the internet more often, and share fun things with you all once again!

London Calling

One of my favourite parts of attending university in England is the fantastic railway system. Back in Canada it’s safe to say our railway system is lacking just a tad. In England, I can hop a train and be anywhere in the country! If I book in advance and use my railcard it doesn’t cost much at all, and to me that’s amazing. Especially because being international, I want to see as much of the country as possible!

Let’s reflect on Valentine’s Day

What better time to discuss Valentine’s Day than the week after? Now that everybody has come down from the high of that lovey dovey feeling in the air and all of the chocolate has been consumed, it is interesting to look back on this day devoted to love. Not to mention, I was crazy busy all week. In between essays and a trip to London (you’ll get to hear more about that later), I just couldn’t find the time to sit down and write.

Welcome, grab some tea and stay for a while!

Welcome to my new little space on the internet! I have been wanting to try my hand at blogging for sometime, but I feel as though it just wasn’t the right time for it all to begin. Between being ridiculously busy with sport and finishing up high school, I was just too stressed. At the present time I am still stressed, but I feel as though I have something to write about, and I can devote time to anyone who wants to follow my thoughts and adventures. So welcome to Peonies and Tea Leaves! Come join me as I try to take life by the horns and discover what comes next on this crazy adventure!
